Terms of Service

Last updated: April 1, 2026

These terms govern your use of autopilot, a browser extension and related services ("we", "us"). By using autopilot, you agree to these terms.

The service

autopilot routes links between browser profiles and browsers based on rules you configure. It is available in two modes:

  • Local mode — runs entirely on your device using a native helper. Free, unlimited rules, no account required.
  • Cloud mode — requires a Google sign-in. Rules sync across browsers and devices via our server. Free tier includes 1 routing rule. Premium unlocks additional rules and cross-computer routing.

Accounts

To use cloud mode, you sign in with your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use autopilot.

Premium subscriptions

Premium is available as a monthly subscription ($3/mo), annual subscription ($24/yr), or one-time lifetime purchase ($49). Payments are processed by Stripe.

  • Billing — subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You can cancel anytime through the Billing link in the extension, which takes you to Stripe's customer portal.
  • Cancellation — when you cancel, you keep Premium access until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the free tier. Your rules and profiles are preserved — if you have more rules than the free tier allows, they remain saved but only the most recent one will be active.
  • Refunds — EU consumers may exercise their right of withdrawal within 14 days of purchase. For all other customers, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at dante142@gmail.com.
  • Price changes — we may change pricing in the future. Existing subscriptions will not be affected until their next renewal. Lifetime purchases are not affected by price changes.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use autopilot for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Reverse-engineer the cloud service (the extension itself is open source)
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent the free tier limit

Your data

You own your data. We process it only to provide the service. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we collect and your rights.

Service availability

We aim to keep autopilot running reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time. If we discontinue the paid service, we will provide at least 30 days' notice and refund any prepaid subscription fees for unused periods.

Open source

The autopilot extension and native helper are open source under the MIT License. The cloud server is proprietary. These terms apply to your use of the hosted service, not the open source code.

Limitation of liability

autopilot is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud or death/personal injury caused by negligence.

Termination

You may stop using autopilot at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with notice where reasonably possible. Upon termination, your right to use the cloud service ends. You can request deletion of your data per our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via the extension or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. If you are an EU consumer, you also retain the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
